Abner Barnette

Abner ‘Pop' Winston Barnette, Jr., 89, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away at Viviant Healthcare in Bristol, TN, on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Abner was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann, mother Louise Maltby (Don), father Abner Sr. and brother Otis. Abner is survived by his brother Clyde (Patricia), his children Linda Bagwell (Jimmy), Trish Russell, Mike Barnette (Sherry), his grandchildren Alicia, Danny, Tyler, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Cody and his nine great grandchildren. The family is holding a Celebration of Life ceremony at his son's home, 801 Benefit Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322 on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 2-3:30 PM.
