Alvin Harvey

Alvin Harvey, 36, of Johnson City, TN, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was born on October 25, 1988, in Newport News, VA. From the beginning, Alvin carried himself with strength and dignity, living life fully with cerebral palsy, but never allowing it to slow him down. His infectious smile brightened every room, and his big heart made him a source of joy and encouragement to everyone around him.

Alvin loved spending time with his children, they were the light of his world. He also enjoyed getting out whenever he was able, and enjoying the companionship of his loyal dog, Cleo. He was deeply thankful for the gift of friendship, and he cherished those who walked alongside him through every season of life.

He is survived by his beloved children, Sylvia and Jamari; his brother, Antonio Harvey; and his uncle, Ernest Moore.

Alvin and his family extend their heartfelt gratitude to his friends and caretakers who helped ensure he had the best quality of life possible, especially during his later years. His memory will live on in the love he shared and the lives he touched.

The family will hold private funeral services at a later date.
