Angel Reneda Maynor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angel R. Maynor, who left this world on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. At the age of 45, Angel was a devoted mother, cherished fiancée, and beloved daughter and sister.

Angel's legacy will live on through her two wonderful children, Katelyn Maynor, who is engaged to Jarritt Buckner, and Bryan Maynor, who is engaged to Summer McCloud. She also leaves behind her treasured grand puppy, Willow Mae, who brought joy to her life.

Angel was deeply loved by her mother, Lois Hickman; Angel's fiancé, Tony Shipley, who stood by her side in life and through her challenges. She is survived by her devoted sisters, Pamela Hardie and her husband Johnathan, as well as Candice Wallen and her husband Caleb. The bond she shared with her nephews, Mason and Colton Cardwell, and James, Jace, and Jake Wallen; as well as her niece Samantha Wallen, showcased her nurturing spirit and love for family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Johnson City Medical Center ICU for their compassionate care during her final hours.

Angel found strength and comfort in her faith, embodied in her favorite Bible verse: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept my faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7.

As we remember Angel, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit, kindness, and unwavering love she shared with all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Hermon United Methodist Church, 5395 E Carters Valley Rd., Gate City, VA 24251. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to her family.
