Anita Diane Hensley, 66, of Kingsport, TN went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2026. She was a loving and caring woman, doing everything she could to help those around her that were in need. Her grandchildren would say that they knew to call her to come to the rescue. She spent her career as a nurse caring for others as well as a caretaker to many after. Anita was the Tennessee Volunteer's number 1 fan. She loved watching the games on a Saturday night, spending time with her family, and singing every chance she could get. Anita went Home peacefully. She will be remembered and loved dearly by all of those who knew her.

Anita is proceeded in death by her mother, Ella V. Justus and her father, J.B. White. She is now with her brothers Scotty, Ernie, and Randy White as well as her nephew Kevin Darnell, and many aunts and uncles.

Anita is survived by her husband, Allen Ray Hensley, and her two sons Michael Justin White, Anthony Blake O'quinn, and her bonus children Allen Ray Hensley II, and Megean Shade. Her grandchildren Madison Blakely White, Emma Leann, Jonah Blake, Madelyn, and Maci O'quinn, Michaela Wilder, Dyllan Hensley, and Willow Shade, and her great grandchild Dominic Michael Belcher. Her sister and brother in law Karen & Steve Darnell, and her nephews Joseph and Jacob Darnell, Lynn, Steve, Eric, and Jonathon White, and her nieces Stephenie Coates, Sara, and Kimberly White. Her great nieces Wynter, Autumn, and Jaina Darnell, and great nephews Alex and Cassidy Darnell and Bentley Coates.

A celebration of life will be held for Anita in the near future, with dates and locations to be determined.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to her best friend Brenda Shaffer. Anita and Brenda spent many, many milestones and life events together, and Brenda was her rock.
