Anna Fay Christian, 84, of Kingpsort, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Anna was a quiet and gentle soul who, for the most part, kept to herself and devoted her time to tending her home and caring for her family. She found comfort in simple living and took pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming household. Above all else, she loved her children dearly, and her family was always the center of her world.
Though she lived a private life, Anna was well known throughout Kingsport. Many in the community were accustomed to seeing her walking around town with her beloved son Tim faithfully by her side. Her steady presence and familiar smile became a comforting sight to those who knew her. Her family lovingly describes her as a kind-hearted, gentle spirit whose quiet strength and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Christian; children, Tony, Carrol, and Lisa; brothers, Elmo Greer, Claude Greer, and Wayne Greer; sisters, Verna Mae Greer, Ella Bear, Liz Miller, Julie Helton, and Lena Kelone; and her parents, Charles Greer and Verna Maulk.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy and Vernon; her daughter, Alice, who lives near Timothy; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at Shades of Grace UMC on Saturday, February 21st at 12:30pm with Pastor Will Shewey officiating. Private internment will be held in Duffield at Horton Cemetery where she will be placed beside her husband.
