Barbara Lynn McGreger McCurry

Barbara "Barbie" Lynn McGreger McCurry, 67, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Born on August 21, 1958, Barbie lived a life rooted in faith and service to others. She was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Matthew, whom she cherished deeply and faithfully taught about Jesus. Her love for her son was central to her life and expressed through constant care, encouragement, and prayer.

A faithfull follower of Christ, she was deeply committed to her family, friends, and church community. She lived out her faith through service, always ready to help anyone in need in whatever way she could. Her generosity of spirit and steady presence were a comfort to many, and she was someone others could always rely on.

Barbie was a graduate of Lynn View High School and spent many years working as a medical transcriptionist. She had a deep love for animals and could often be found walking her dog through local parks and along the Greenbelt. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, finding peace and creativity in making things by hand.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Patricia McGreger; and her sister, Joy McGreger.

Left to cherish Barbie's memory is her son, Matthew Clinton McCurry.

A Memorial Gathering to honor Barbie will be held on Monday, February 9th from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Trinity Memorial Centers.

Those who knew and loved Barbie will remember her unwavering faith, and the quiet ways she lifted others up. Songs that held special meaning to her include, "You Raise Me Up," "Dry Bones," and "Woman at the Well," each reflecting the faith and hope that guided her life.
