Barbara Eller Milhorn

Barbara "Bobbye" Milhorn passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday evening, October 3, 2026.

Bobbye was born in Iroquois, WV, to G. Fred Eller and Hazel Mae (Morgan) Eller. She moved to Kingsport, TN, in the 1950s and called the area home for nearly 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Thomas "Tom" Milhorn, in 2013.

Bobbye worked in her parents' grocery stores, Friendly Market in Kingsport and Oak Glen Grocery in the Oak Glen community of Washington County, TN. She also held management positions with Reynold Uniform, Beeline and Sarah Coventry. She later returned to work for Sullivan County Food Association and retired as the manager of Sullivan North High School Cafeteria.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Fleenor; granddaughter, Jamie Harris (Kolton Trotter); great-granddaughter, Angela Harris (Jacob Bowman); and great-grandson, Jason Harris. Bobbye's family was her greatest joy, and she will be deeply missed by them, as well as by several cousins and close friends who will remember her bright smile.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Spring Oak Senior Living, formerly Steadman Hills, and to Amedisys Hospice for the care, kindness and compassion they provided to Bobbye and her family.

The family will hold a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Bobbye's memory may consider making a donation to a local school to help with a student's food account or to a local animal shelter, two causes that reflect her many years in food service and her love of animals.
