Betty Jean McGlothlin, 78, of Blountville, Tennessee, took her final rest on Sunday, December 21, 2025, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
Betty spent most of her life in Bristol, later moving to Blountville in 2009 when her granddaughter was born. Family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. Whether gathered around the table playing cards, working through puzzles, or simply enjoying time together, Betty found her greatest joy in being present with her family.
She had a quiet, gentle spirit and a heart for serving others. Betty was known for her kindness and for always putting the needs of others before her own. She was a devoted woman of faith who dearly loved her church family at Lighthouse Bible Church and faithfully attended alongside her family.
In her quieter moments, Betty found peace in reading and working in her garden, nurturing both plants and people with the same care and patience. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness that will continue to live on in those who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 57 years, Ned McGlothlin; her brothers, Roger, John, Jeff, and Danny; and her sister, Peggy Geiger.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy McGlothlin and wife Ann, and Travis McGlothlin and wife Carla; her cherished grandchildren, Connor, Emily, and Kairos; her sisters, Brenda Davis and Nancy Rose; and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Blountville, Tennessee.
Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.trinitymemorialcenters.com.
