Carroll Reece "Ricky" Smith

Carroll Reece "Ricky" Smith, 57, of Piney Flats, went to be with the Lord early in the morning on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County where he was a member of Faith House of Prayer Church. He was a carpenter and a greenskeeper. Ricky is preceded in death by his dad, Paul Smith; and sister, Naomi Smith. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patsy Smith; daughters, April Hyder and partner Tim Necessary, Kristy Patterson and husband Cody, both of the home; son, Nathan Smith, of Bristol, VA; three grandchildren; and mother, Melba Smith of Piney Flats. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The funeral service is to follow at 6:00 PM with Reverend Charles J. Millsaps officiating. Burial will be at New Bethel Church Cemetery on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
