Charles Michael King

May 10, 1950 — June 18, 2025

Charles Michael King, 75, of Blountville, Tennessee, was welcomed into eternal peace on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Charles was born on May 10, 1950, in Rochester, New York, to the late Walter and Sally King. He was raised in a loving home and brought up in the Catholic faith, which remained a quiet cornerstone of his life. Charles attended Lake Worth High School in Florida, where he made lifelong friends and began cultivating the passions that would stay with him throughout his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Charles found his greatest peace on the water. Whether fishing in still silence or boating under wide-open skies, he cherished the calm and joy that the water brought. Charles found that same joy not only on the water, but also on two wheels, where every motorcycle ride was a moment of peace and reflection. He rode until he no longer could, and even then, the road never truly left him. His love for fishing was more than just a hobby, one that he eagerly shared with his family and friends over the years.

Charles found his greatest happiness in the company of those he loved. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or quiet moments, he cherished every opportunity to be with his family and friends. His strong nature and warm smile created a sense of comfort and connection that will be deeply missed.

Charles was married to Patricia King for 40 years. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sally King; his brother, Terry King; and his nephews: Butch King, David King, and John King.

He is survived by his sons: "The King Boys" Matt King, Jayson King, and Chuck King. He also leaves behind his brother Bob King, his sister Carol Spangenberg, as well as his cherished grandchildren that brought him endless pride and joy: Matison, Peyton, Preston, Ryan, and Quintin King. Charles has many beloved nieces and nephews: Richard, Randy, Mike, and Mark Spangenberg; Arlene Broach; Heidi Shade and Sally Hart; Kristin Belknap and Aaron King; Jennifer King; Joey and Angie Rodriguez; Terrence, Daniel, and Ronald King.

He will be remembered as a devoted pillar of his family, as well as his love for the water, and the peace he found in life's simple pleasures.
