Cheryl Darlene Rochester

Cheryl Darlene Rochester, 73, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

She was born on February 3, 1953, in Buena Vista, VA, where she was raised in a loving, close‑knit community. Cheryl lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Cheryl was a firm believer in Jesus Christ, and her faith guided her throughout her life. She loved to cook and took pride in preparing meals that brought her family together. Cheryl was strong‑willed and feisty, with a personality full of fire, humor, and love. She cared deeply for her family and those she held close, and her presence will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone she touched.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Doris Towler; her father, Wilton Bayne; her sister, Gloria Nash; and many other cherished family members and friends.

She leaves behind her husband, Randall Rochester; her loving daughter, April Dishner, and son-in-law, Shannon Dishner. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Marrissa Palmer, Maddison Palmer, Matthew Palmer, and Timothy Dishner.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and the love she shared with them.

Services for Cheryl will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at New Hope Church, 1116 Nelms Lane, Kingsport, TN 37665. Receiving of friends and family will be 5:00-6:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 6:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the family to assist with final expenses and to honor Cheryl's memory. Messages of comfort, memories, and condolences may also be shared with the family online.
