Church Hill, TN - C. Jeane Hulsey, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeane's life was marked by an unwavering devotion to Christ. She grew up in central New Mexico and on the Navajo Reservation, places she often spoke of with pride, not for herself, but for the opportunities God gave her to witness and share the Gospel. From a young age, she dedicated her life to bringing others to Christ. Whether it was picking up neighborhood children to take them to church, or meeting parents along her school bus route to invite their children to Good News Clubs she helped start, Jeane was relentless in her mission to see souls saved. Even in her later years, as her health declined, she continued to witness to those around her, never ceasing to speak of the hope found in Jesus.
She was a faithful student of Scripture, able to recall and recite passages and entire books with ease, and she carried herself as a true prayer warrior. Her heart was one of service, and her life was lived as a servant to her King, the Messiah. She cherished every moment with her family, but her greatest testimony was how she embodied the commandment she loved most: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind."
Jeane met the love of her life, her husband of nearly 75 years, at an Army Depot between Williams and Flagstaff, Arizona. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. Although recently preceded in death by him, she continue to cherish his memory deeply.
Those left to carry on her legacy of faith include her son, Bud Hulsey; granddaughter, Chesna Quillen and husband James; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Alysse.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 at Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church (262 Cedar Creek Road Gray TN), with Pastor Robert Fultz presiding and Pastor Phip Sams bringing a special message. A graveside service will immediately follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery (13385 Kingsport Hwy in Chuckey, TN).
