Cindy Ann Bowders, 58, of Fall Branch, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Cindy was born in Alexandria, Virginia, to Ann (Lambert) Lane and Haskell Lane on December 1, 1966. She worked in retail services and brought warmth, kindness, and a sunny disposition to every interaction. She always saw the best in others and was a true peacemaker.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Brooke Allison Bowders, in 2014, and her father, Haskell Lane, in 2024. Both sets of grandparents also passed in recent years.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Mitch Bowders; son, J.D. Bowders (Libby); granddaughter, Valentine Bowders; mother, Ann Lane; sister, Ronda Collier (Wayne); and brother, Greg Lane. She is also survived by nieces: Amanda Yates (Chris), Brittany Maus (Kurtis), Kristin Burns (Gavin), Erin Marchand (Phillipe), Rachel, and Jacqueline; nephews: Grant, Paul, and James; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Cindy is also mourned by her stepmother, Becky Lane; stepbrother, Wayne Elkins (Pam); stepsister, Dawn Evans (Billy); stepnephews, Jacob Elkins (Caitlin) and Brandon Evans (Harlie); stepniece, Rebekah Evans (Hunter); sisters-in-law, Paula and Lise; brothers-in-law, Skip Bowders (Gina) and Robert Bowders; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A special mention is given to her dear friend, Beth Huffman, for her loyal friendship and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Cindy's memory.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 19th, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Trinity Memorial.
