With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Clyde Henry Lyda Jr.
Clyde grew up in Western North Carolina cutting pulp wood, later drove an oil truck, and then went to work for Berkley Mills, where he retired. He later moved to Rogersville, Tennessee, and enjoyed spending time at the Green River Buck Club, taking care of his property, running his tractor, growing his hot peppers, hunting, fishing, and helping family and friends. Clyde will be missed dearly by anyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Edith Lyda; his two sisters, Barbara and Loenna; his wife, Ruby Lyda; and a grandson, Zach Lyda.
Those left to cherish Clyde's memory are his three sisters, Maxine, Doris, and Betty; his two sons, Randy Lyda and Edward Lyda; his two stepdaughters, Kathy Cox and Patty Cox; his grandchildren, Tyler Lyda, Kyle Lyda, Chelsea Lyda, Drew Queen, Brody Queen, Edward Lyda, Jr., Lucas Lyda, Brittany Blackwell, and Roxanne Blackwell; and his great-grandchildren, Tristan Queen, Prudence Queen, Marley Queen, and Audrey Lyda.
Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.
