Clyde Herman "Buz" Stanley, Jr., passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Buz was born on April 11, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Brown High School and later attended Georgia State University in Atlanta. In 1977, he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where he built a life centered on family, creativity, and lifelong learning. He married Teresa "Terri" Goodman in April 1978. He was a devoted father to his daughters. He was a proud grandfather to Riley Ann Webster and eagerly awaited the arrival of his granddaughter, Heidi Paige Miller, expected in September 2026.

Buz was preceded in death by, his daughter, Paige Olivia Stanley; his wife, Terri Goodman; and his parents, Clyde Herman Stanley Sr. and Mary Dorothy Blackburn Stanley.

Buz is survived by his daughter, Piper; his sister, Diane Stanley Dagnan and husband Gary; his sister-in-law, Sherri Goodman and wife Teresa; his brother-in-law, Jerry Goodman and wife Kim; several nieces and nephews; and close family friends, Heather Gliserman and Alex Phares.

Buz was an avid reader and a lover of music whose artistic talents touched many aspects of his life. He was an accomplished artist, cartoonist, and gemologist, earning certification and a degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). His passion for fine jewelry led him to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces and to own C.H. Stanley Diamond Brokers, a jewelry store in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Those who knew Buz will remember his creativity, intelligence, sense of humor, and generous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, artistry, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
