Connie was a 1962 graduate of Ketron High School and earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education and vocal performance from ETSU. She was a devoted spouse and loving mother. She joined her husband in membership at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church where together they supported youth programs and were active in Sunday School activities. Later they became members at Harmony Baptist Church. Some of her most cherished times were spent with her brothers and sisters in Christ and especially the Harmony ladies Bible study group, Sunday School class, and the fellowship shared during apple butter making.
She joins in heaven her husband of 57 years George Martin Little, her dad Joe Adam Hopkins and mom Margaret Clevenger Hopkins.
Survived to love and miss her are daughter Amy Suzanne "Suzie" Stevens and son Wesley "Brian"Little, grandchildren Colin Gary Stevens and wife Olivia, Sarah Margaret Stevens, Emily Evelyn Stevens, her loving sister-in-law Alma Sue Little, numerous cousins and other loved ones . Also left to miss her is special friend and companion Gary Churchwell.
Her family appreciates nurse Johna at Ballad Cancer Center and R.N. Edward and the entire staff at Franklin Woods Community Hospital who treated her with loving care and dignity.
Receiving of friends is Thursday, January 8th from 4:00-6:00pm at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660, and a celebration of life to follow lead by Pastor Steve Pate of Harmony Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Harmony Baptist Church.
