In Loving Memory of Craig Stambaugh Sr, Of Bluff City, TN, Born on August 19, 1944.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Craig Stambaugh Sr, a proud veteran, devoted family member, and courageous fighter, who passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Craig and Darlene shared 63 years of marriage. Craig Stambaugh dedicated his life to serving others both through his military service and the kindness he showed every day. He proudly served in the Army, where he demonstrated bravery, loyalty, and an unshakable sense of duty to his country. His years in uniform reflected the same strength and courage that he carried throughout his life.

Even after his time in the military, Craig continued to serve the VFW and American Legion. Craig Stambaugh continued to fight battles of a different kind. Through illness and hardship, he faced every challenge with grace and determination, never giving up and never losing his sense of humor or love for those around him. His strength inspired everyone who knew him.

Craig Stambaugh is survived by his wife, Darlene Stambaugh, and his son, Craig Stambaugh Jr, his brothers, Kirk Stambaugh, Darrin Croy, and Keith Croy, and Larry Croy, and his beloved grandchildren, Michael Whaley, Crystalyn Fallin (Mike), Karen Davis (Robbie), Alyssa Stambaugh, Brianna Stambaugh, and many Great grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory, stories, and the love he shared so freely. He was preceded in death by all his loved ones.

Craig Stambaugh will be remembered not only as a veteran and fighter but as a hero in every sense of the word- one who never stopped loving, protecting, and inspiring those around him.

 A Celebration of Life will take place at VFW Post 2621 on November 2 2025 at 1 pm.
