Cynthia Darlene Adams

February 19, 1966 — July 15, 2025

Cynthia Darlene Adams, 59, of Johnson City, TN, entered into rest on Monday, July 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love.

Born February 19, 1966, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Sidney and Thelma Jane Ayers, Cynthia grew up with a heart full of compassion and a spirit that never met a stranger. She graduated from Daniel Boone High School and carried her gentle, giving nature with her wherever she went.

Cynthia had a special bond with her Pomeranian, Bear, who rarely left her side-riding shotgun on car rides, tagging along on walks, and snuggling close at home.

She had a childlike wonder for Christmas and the snow-it held a special place in her heart and brought her a sense of peace and happiness. She would even come back from South Carolina just to catch a glimpse of a white Christmas, and she'd smile at the quiet beauty of snowflakes falling outside her window.

More than anything, Cynthia was a devoted mother and unwavering provider. She was known for her kind heart, open smile, and the way she could light up a room with her laughter. She was never shy and would strike up a friendly conversation with anyone she met. Her joy came from helping others, and she gave freely of herself to family, friends, and even strangers.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of ten years, Andy Adams; her father, Sidney Ayers; her mother, Thelma Jane Lacey; and her dearest friend, Peggy Dickens, who was like family to her.

Cynthia leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her three children, Joshua Hill, Justin Hill, and Jodie Reed; her treasured grandchildren, McKenna Hill, Taylor McCurry, Phillip Blaze Cole, Nevaeha Federow, and Kara-Lee Cade; her caring aunt, Ann Graves; her brother, Chad Ayers; and her cousins, Tony and Dwayne Smith.

Like the snow she adored, her presence was soft, beautiful, and left a lasting impression wherever it fell. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
