Dale Earnest Bishop

Dale Earnest Bishop, 70, of Rogersville, TN, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Dale proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. Following his service, he dedicated nearly four decades to a career with the phone company, where his strong work ethic and friendly spirit earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

A man who found joy in simple pleasures, Dale loved playing frisbee golf and ping pong, and could often be found behind the wheel of his beloved backhoe.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Bishop & Betty Sue Benkey.

Those left to cherish Dale's memory are his loving wife of 29 years, Kitty; his children, Cris Bishop, Chris (Stephanie) Strode, and Mandy (Jason) Royston; his grandchildren, Carter, Riley, Emily, Jeremiah, Sam, and Molly; his brother, Scott Bishop; his sister, Pamela Bishop; his best friends, Billy Blankenbeckler and Greg "Hog" Myers; his partner in crime, Chip Gilliam; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, November 9th, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Boones Creek Baptist Church, located at 304 S. Pickens Bridge Rd., Johnson City, TN 37615, in the Family Life Center.
