Danny Lee Bartlett

Danny Lee Bartlett, born on December 11, 1948, in Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on December 14, 2025, in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was the son of Ben and Helen Bartlett and is survived by his brother, David Bartlett of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and his sisters, Yvonne Bartlett and Denise Bartlett Jones, both of Knoxville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.

Danny graduated from Powell High School in 1966 and then from East Tennessee State University in 1970. He served in the U.S. Army, primarily stationed in Germany. After leaving the service, he worked as a librarian in Kingsport and Johnson City, Tennessee, for many years. Danny was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsport, where he sang in the chancel choir and served as the church librarian.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 29, 2026, at 2:30 p.m at First Baptist Church of Kingsport, 200 West Church Ave. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Kingsport or to Second Harvest Food Bank.
