Danny Thomas Sampson

Danny Thomas Sampson, 74, went to be home with the Lord on Monday, September 15, 2025 in Kingsport, TN. Danny passed away after a brief hospital stay. He loved his family more than anything, enjoyed hunting on Holston Mountain, was an avid NASCAR fan, and was a lifelong brick mason.

Danny was born on July 10th, 1951 in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Joe and Lona Sampson.

Those left to cherish Danny's memory are his sisters, Jennifer Ryans and Cindy Herron (Jerry); his brother, Johnny Sampson; his nephews, Michael Herron, Joey Herron (Amanda), and Jeremy Herron (Cindy); his nephew and special caretaker, Zachary Sampson; his niece, Amanda Nichols (fiance, Chris); his great-nephews, Christopher Sampson and Aaron Hegler; and many more close family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lona Sampson; his brother-in-laws, Roger Hauk and Jerry Ryans; and his sister-in-law, Debra Sampson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 150 New Beason Well Rd., Kingsport, Tennessee 37660, on Saturday, September 20th, 2025. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a service to follow. Evangelist Michael Herron, Pastor Robert Fletcher, and Pastor Roger Vineyard will be officiating.
