Darla Ann Whaley

Darla Ann Whaley, 63, of Bristol, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Darla was born September 2, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Craig and Darlene Stambaugh. She grew up in Baltimore and was a proud graduate of Chesapeake High School. In 1983, she married the love of her life, Michael Whaley Sr., and together they shared 42 beautiful years of marriage.

Darla had a heart as kind as it was welcoming. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She loved her time working at the bingo hall, where her laughter and warmth filled the room. She enjoyed traveling, camping, visiting the casino, and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Diesel. Most of all, she treasured every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her uncle.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Michael Whaley Sr.; children, Michael Whaley Jr., Eric Whaley Sr., and Karen Davis (Robert); parents, Craig and Darlene Stambaugh; brother, Craig Stambaugh Jr.; and her beloved grandchildren, Ashleigh Whaley, Hailie Rose, Brooke Whaley, Paige Whaley, Rodney Slider, Eric Whaley Jr., Alexis Slider, and Emily Whaley. Darla also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will miss her dearly.

At the family's request, there will be no formal public services.
