Darlene Mae Hensley

Darlene M. Kinsley, age 81, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully at home, while on Hospice Care, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James "Jimmy" Hensley; her son, Scott Hensley in 2021; her parents John and Louise McNew; her brother, Curtis McNew; and her sister, Terisa Cox.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonia Hensley (Owens Dill); her grandkids, Tim Hensley (Megan); Hunter (Sarah); Riliemae Dill, Nevaeh Neal, Tyler Webb; her great grandkids, Kason, Embreigh, Raylan, Waylen, and Bowie; her daughter-in-law, Katrina Hensley; her brother, James McNew; life long friends Janice Dillow, Tressie Light, and Ann Davis; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends that will cherish her memory.

She lived along with her late husband in the Sullivan Gardens Community their entire life. She was a member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and an avid crafter and quitter. She loved to decorate their yard for the seasons. She loved to take part in church activities and school activities with her kids and grandkids. She will be missed by many and loved by all.

There will be celebration of life for both Darlene and Jimmy at Bays Mountain Baptist Church Thursday December 18, 2025 with a gathering of friends and family from 5-7 pm and a small service at 7 pm.
