David Wayne Johnson

David Johnson, 60, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

David was a proud veteran, having served in the army 82nd airborne. He was a great father and grandfather. David loved life, animals, and music, especially Bob Dylan. He enjoyed video games and spending time with his family and friends. David loved the Lord dearly. Everyone who knew him knew that Pal's was his favorite- the Big Pal and a peanut butter shake.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jackson Peters; special mother-in-law, Brenda Frost; special father-in-law, Douglas Frost; dear friend and brother in arms, John Franklin; and several uncles and aunts.

David is survived by his wife, Tabitha Hart; son, David Hart; sister, Misty Peters and Tonya Peters; special brother, William Johnson; sister-in-law; April Johnson and her fiance, Kelly; daughter-in-law, Racheal Horton; and special grandson, Toby Horton; special cousin, Ray Johnson; special friend, Beverly Horton; and special friend, Robin Horton; special friends, Charlie Brown, Halie Stanley, Destiny Riggs, Brenda Mitchell, and Kenny Ford; and several special friends and family friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
