David Moore Wood

David Moore Wood, a beloved husband, father, son, principal, pastor, and coach, passed away on April 15, 2026.

David was a man of faith, service, and leadership whose life touched many others. He dedicated his life to education, ministry, and guiding young people both in the classroom and on the field. As a principal and coach, he influenced countless students, encouraging them to strive for excellence and character. As a pastor, he served his community with compassion, faith, and devotion.

David also honorably served his country as a medic in the Army Reserves, providing care and support to those in need during his service.

He was known for his steady presence, strong values, and deep love for his family. His life was centered around faith, service, and helping others, and he will be remembered for the lasting impact he made in every role he held.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Jewell Wood; his brother, Michael Wood; and his sister, Judy Wood Norton.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Wood, and his son, Caleb Wood.

David's legacy will continue through the many lives he influenced and the love he shared throughout his life. He will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
