Deana Loy Kestner

Deana (De) L. Kestner, 62, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded with

family by her side on Thursday, September 17, 2026 after bravely battling cancer.

She was born January 11, 1964 in Lebanon, Tennessee. De was a 1982 Dobyns-Bennett High School graduate who spent most of her career with Kroger Corporate in Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky before retiring and returning to Kingsport, Tennessee.

De was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Ligon, mother, Beverly Ligon, and infant sister, Laura Leigh Ligon.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, Craig Kestner, her dog she loved dearly, Rudy Patootie, siblings Kim (Keith) Patton, Connie (Mike) Kindle, Todd (Mary) Ligon, Mesha Lannom, Monty (Jesse) Ligon, Brandon Ligon, Bridgette (Robert) Massey, and Brook (Casey) Kinkead, several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, special great-nephew Brayden Taylor, and a very special nephew Kaden Massey.

Craig would like to thank De's sisters, Connie Kindle, Bridgette Massey, Brook

Kinkead, and his sister, Kristy Taylor, who played a HUGE role in caring for De

during the past several months. He couldn't have done it without them.

De's Celebration of Life service will be as follows:

Visitation 1:00-2:00 pm

Service: 2:00-3:00 pm with Pastor Mark Estep officiating
