Dennis "Denny" Hogan, born July 8, 1947, in Ionia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. He was preceded in death by his mother, Letha Grace (Martin) Hogan, father, Richard Edward Hogan, brother, Roger Candiff, and sister, Janet Candiff.

Denny grew up in Ionia and graduated from Ionia High School in 1965. He honorably served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969 as a member of the First Marine Air Wing. Following his military service, he married Lynn (Miller) Hogan in 1970, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and shared memories.

He was a devoted father to three sons: Tony (Katrina) Miller, Ed Hogan, and Andy (Jessica) Hogan, and a cherished grandfather to Devin Shaffer, Allison Wacha, Reagan Stiffler, Barrett Miller, Zach Hogan, Oren Wade, Sydney Hogan, and Drew Miller. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him. He was a gentle badass with wisdom, guidance, and a heart of gold.

Throughout his professional life, Denny held positions in Grand Rapids and Portland, Michigan, owned a business in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and spent a significant portion of his career as Vice President of a software company in Baltimore, Maryland. During that time, he resided in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and York County, Pennsylvania. In 2011, he retired to Kingsport, Tennessee, where he enjoyed being actively involved in his grandchildren's sporting events and taking pleasure in the simple joys of family life.

Denny will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a proud veteran, and a passionate professional who brought dedication and integrity to everything he did. His legacy of love, service, and commitment to family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
