Dewey Ray Slone, 53, of Johnson City, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Dewey was known for his ever-present smile, joyful spirit, and kind heart. A true family man, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones-whether camping under the stars, cracking jokes around the fire, or simply being together. His quick wit and warm laughter brought comfort and joy to all who knew him.
He had a deep love for motorcycles and the freedom of the open road, and he carried a quiet strength that often made him the peacekeeper in any situation. Dewey was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a beloved papaw who poured his heart into his family. His life was grounded in his Baptist faith, which shaped his compassionate and steady nature.
He is preceded in death by his father, Danny Slone; his grandfather, Dewey Adams; his grandmother, Helen Wilson.
Those left to cherish Dewey's memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Angie Slone; his daughters, Katie & Hailey Slone; his sons, Jordan Slone (wife, Jessica), and Justin Slone; his mother, Gwendolyn Slone; all his grandchildren, including Carter, Caroline, and Natalie, who kept him going; and his father- and mother-in-law that he loved dearly, Jimmy & Carolyn Bowman.
