Diane Erdman Gatewood

Diane Erdman Gatewood, 82, of Mount Carmel, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana whose quiet nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She enjoyed many years of dedicated factory work and found great joy in traveling and exploring new places. A frequent visitor to Goodwill, shopping was one of her favorite pastimes.

Diane deeply loved her family and her loyal Chihuahua companions, who brought her comfort and joy through the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gatewood; her daughter, Dawn Burkhart; her beloved dog, Paco; and her parents, Julie and Clifford Erdman.

She is survived by her grandson, Adam Burkhart, his wife Ashley, and their sons; granddaughter, Samantha Walters, and her children; sisters, Louise and Laurie; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great-great-grandson.

The family will hold private services to honor her memory.
