Dillion Matthew Wright

Dillion Matthew "Matt" Wright, 34, of Norton, VA, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Born and raised in Mendota, Virginia, Matt was deeply connected to the outdoors and the life he built in the mountains he called home. He found great joy in hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. Known as a true jack of all trades, he had a natural talent for working with his hands and could fix or build just about anything. He will be remembered for his hard working spirit, his love for the outdoors, and his love and friendship to many.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Alexis; his father, Ed Wright; his mother, Tammy Wright; and his grandparents, Fleet and Ennis Wright.

Those left to cherish Matt's memory are his brothers, Dustin (fiance, Payton) Wright and Derek (Jane) Wright; his loving companion, Heather Phillips, and her two children that he loved as his own; and his niece and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as many friends that he considered family.
