Dorinda Steakley Wood

Dorinda S. Wood, 77, of Johnson City, TN, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gardner Samuel Steakley and Dorothy Steakley, her son, Damien Wasarovich, her daughter, Penelope Lynn Sewell, and her beloved husband, Thomas Wood.

Dorinda leaves behind her cherished family: siblings Buddy (Cecilia) Steakley of the Philippines, Cheryl (Larry) Howell of Enterprise, AL, Candice (Andy) Steiner of Michigan, and Debbie (Marty) Reeves of Dickson, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kyle Sewell (Staci) of Shelbyville, TN, Akira Sewell-Morgan (Roger) of Orlando, FL, Brittany Richardson (Terry) of Shelbyville, TN, and Cody Tynes. Her special great-granddaughter, Ciara Mayberry, and great-grandchildren Hailey Drake, Kenneth Drake, Hailey Sewell, Kyler Sewell, and Lilly Sewell will continue to honor her memory. Dorinda was blessed with the friendship of Debbie Ray (Floyd) of Erwin, TN, and leaves behind her son-in-law, Eric Arwood.
