Doris Adair Housewright

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Adair Housewright on Saturday, June 21, 2025. A loving mother, wife and friend to all who knew her. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas (Laura) Weese and her husband J.D. Housewright.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Donna Vicars; cousins Jack, his wife Kathy;

Cindy Godwin, her wife Arn and several special friends.

Doris was born in Kingsport, Tennessee. After graduating from nursing school in 1969, she continued to thrive as a nurse for 35 years. Apart from her nursing career, in her free time she loved the beach, her family, her animals, bingo and crafting. She especially loved sitting on the porch with her glass of iced sweet tea. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
