Dwight Lonzo Conklin

Dwight "Bear" Conklin passed away peacefully at home on November 1st, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was surrounded by his loving family and wife of 60 years, Cathy Conklin.

Dwight was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, TN. He graduated from Sullivan West High and worked for the Mead Paper Company for 30 years before retiring. Dwight was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He attended Bays Mountain Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mary Conklin; and his youngest son, David Conklin. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Conklin; his sons, Dale and Brian Conklin; his daughter-in-laws, Ginger and Chenoa Conklin; and his grandchildren, Caleb, Seth, Willow and Emily Conklin.

Dwight's service will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 6:00 PM with the Funeral Service at 6:00 PM and Graveside Service to follow on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Mullins Cemetery in Kingsport, Tennesee, at 1:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Rob Sharpe, Eli Jennings, Chris Housewright, Josh Mendenhall, Tyler McMullins, and Jeremy Falin. Music will be provided by Kelly Falin.
