Earl Houston Barker

Earl Houston Barker, 85, a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016. Earl was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a loving, devoted father, grandfather and husband. He was a truck driver by occupation and worked for Freight Liner. He is preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Molly Barker; brothers, Bruce Barker and Paul Barker; sisters, Nettie Barker, Ruby Barker, Evie Barker and Evea Barker. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith Barker; sons, Steve Barker, Roger Barker and Brian Barker; daughters, Judy (Barker) Skeens and Deborah Barker; several grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN) from 6 PM to 8 PM. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 1 PM at Webb Cemetery (429 Welk Road, Kingsport TN) with Pastor Steven Gobble.
