Earl Ray Monroe

Earl R. Monroe, 83, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

He was born in Kingsport, TN and was a graduate of Lynn View High School. Earl worked for Eastman Chemical as a Lab Analyst for over 40 years retiring in 1997. He loved to joke and make people smile and he loved his pets. He was a devoted husband, provider, wonderful father, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Offie Monroe; brothers, Gerald Faye Monroe, Godfrey Garfield "Curly" Monroe, Clyde John Monroe Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann; son, Earl Monroe Jr; daughter, Penny Parker; grandchildren, Joshua, Dallas, Lucas, Jasmine; great grandchildren, Aiden, Dallas Jr, Emma; sister, Phyllis Haulsee.

Graveside service with military honors provided by American Legion Hammonds Post 3 / Gate City 265 will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at 10:00 am.
