Evelyn Marie Hays

Evelyn Marie Hays, age 88, a lifelong resident of Murfreesboro, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was born on November 2nd, 1936.

A devoted homemaker, Marie's life was centered around her family. She found great joy in tending her garden, preparing meals from the heart, and making her home a warm and welcoming place. A faithful member of Northside Baptist Church, she lived her life as a reflection of the Proverbs 31 woman-strong, gracious, and deeply committed to those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Robert Hays; her parents, Jackson and Callie Jones; and her daughter, Linda Ann Gordon.

Marie is survived by her son, William Thomas "Tom" Hays and his wife, Deborah Lynn; five cherished grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three loving sisters; son-in-law, Al Gordon.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, at 10:30 am at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gideons International in her memory.
