Evelyn Faye Mullins

Evelyn Faye Mullins, 63, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Evelyn loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she joyfully praised Him, trusting in His promise of healing and eternal peace in Heaven. A devoted member of Great Commission Church, Evelyn was quiet and reserved by nature- but not in church. There, she came alive, lifting her hands in praise, dancing as she brought her offering, and faithfully giving her tithe as an act of worship.

Originally from Grundy, Virginia, Evelyn moved to the Kingsport area in the early 1990s, where she made her home and built lasting friendships. She was an animal lover through and through, especially devoted to her beloved cat Wendy, who sat faithfully by her side, and her dogs Missy and Rosie, who brought her great joy and companionship.

Evelyn enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved sports- especially wrestling, football, and basketball- and was known as a bit of a computer whiz, always enjoying time on her computer. She also loved going out to eat at her favorite restaurants and cherished trips to the beach, where she found peace and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gertrude Mullins; her brothers, David Mullins and Curtis Mullins; and her sister, Wilma Baker.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Cathy Watts (Michael) and Wanda Matney (Tony); her brother, Ricky Mullins; her special friends, Donny Stacy and family and Anthony Rogers; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and many friends who will forever remember her loving spirit and faithful heart.
