Frances "Frankie" Odreada Plemons, 81, of Bristol, TN, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Frankie was born June 1, 1943 to the late Edward C. Lovelace Sr. and Beulah Dean Lovelace.
In addition to her parents, Frankie was also preceded in death by her brother Edward C "Buddy" Lovelace; her sister Diane Rose; her sister Sabrina Jewell Spraker; her grandson Kristofer Skye Simerly; her sister Janetta Ruth "Peggy" Jones; her daughter Dondi Lynne King; her son-in-law Travis Scott Simerly; and her late husband Mickey Mcarthur Plemons.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sister Jean Watkins, late husband Bob Watkins; her sister Joyce Maines, husband Roy Maines; Martha Young, late husband Grady "Virgil" Young; her sister Donna Wilson, husband Ricky Wilson; her daughter Kimberly Dion Plemons of Bristol, TN; son, Michael David Plemons of Bristol, TN; and daughter Kelly Nicoel Plemons-Simerly of Elizabethton, TN. Her eight beloved grandchildren will deeply miss her: William "Travis" Mcduffie and wife Nicole; Jeff Alan King; Kevin Scott King and fiancé Ashlee Mullins; Kaylan "Danielle" Plemons and fiancé James Anthony Williams; Megan Brooke Tester and fiancé Mark Anthony Jones II; Samantha Jo Stowers and husband Robert; James "Tyler" Pratt and wife Kaitlynn; and Keirstin Evelyn Jean Simerly; she also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren.
Frankie attended Bluff City High School and later completed her GED. She began her career working as a hostess/waitress for Trayers. She then later worked as a machine operator for Cozy Dozy. Following that, she transitioned to work as a manager at a gas station named Conoco. Later she went into the food industry and started working as a cafeteria worker at Bristol Compressors for 12 years, Five Star Food Service as a caterer for 5 years, Exide as a cafeteria worker/co-manager for 6 years, and then transitioned to Glaxo Smith-Kline until she had to retire unexpectedly due to an allergic reaction to penicillin. Frankie found joy in cooking. She loved to cook for anyone that came over to her residence. She also enjoyed playing games on the computer, watching her favorite shows on TV, loved spending time with the family, and most importantly, listening to God's word from Charles Stanley every Sunday.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1st between 3:00pm and 7:00pm at Elizabeth Chapel.
