Fredrick Dewolf Derrick III, 73, of Rogersville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

He loved the Lord with all his heart. At 13 years old, he accepted the Lord as his Savior during Bible School at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He was a charter member at Indian Ridge Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He had taught Sunday School for 40+ years. He loved to tell others about Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick D. Derrick Jr.; mother, Margaret Ann Crawford; step-dad, Jim D. Crawford; brothers, David, Charles (Bob), and James (Jimmy) Crawford; daughter-in-law, Debra Derrick; mother and father-in-law, Bertie and J.S. Arnold; brother-in-law, Gerald Arnold; and sister-in-law, Linda Goad.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Arnold Derrick; sons, Andy Derrick and Jason Derrick; Aaron and Katie Derrick; grandchildren, Maelyn and Riley; uncle Bill and Kay Helton; aunt Delores Helton; aunt Peggy Derrick and John Derrick; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Punkin) Arnold; as well as several nieces, nephews, and special cousins.

Service will be held on Friday March 27th at 6:00 pm at Indian Ridge Baptist Church (516 W Main Blvd, Church Hill, TN 37642.)

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indian Ridge Baptist Church, Church Hill, TN, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
