Geneva Lee Bishop

Geneva Bishop, 72, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Geneva was a woman of quiet faith whose life was rooted in love for her family and trust in the Lord. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the warmth she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Though her earthly journey has ended, her love and the memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, April Bishop; her parents, Fred Gibson and Betty Estep; brother, Fred Leon Gibson; and sister, Jean Pearcy.

She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Johnson; grandson, Samuel Paul Johnson and wife Ashley (and children); husband, Worley Sam Bishop; special nephew, Tommy Bishop of Kingsport, Tennessee; special caregiver, Nick Stump.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27th, at Trinity Memorial from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm. Funeral service will follow with Preacher Johnny Gibson officiating and Terry Christian singing.

Graveside service at East Lawn Memorial will be announced shortly.
