Hans Fredrick "Fred" Moody, born February 15, 1947, in Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Fred proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked for many years as an independent general contractor until his retirement.

Fred was married for 50 years to the love of his life, Marketa Moody, who preceded him in death in 2015. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends and was known for his outgoing, lovable personality that made him easy to love and impossible to forget. Fred enjoyed being outdoors, spending time in nature, and taking scenic car rides through the mountains.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Violet Moody; his wife, Marketa Moody; his siblings, Willamette Moody, George Moody, and Mickey Moody; and his in-laws, Katherine Moody, Helina Moody, and Jean Moody.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Michelle Moody (David Teneyck) and Sherri Mitchell and husband, Joshua Mitchell; bonus children, Sarah and Kevin Jumps; grandchildren, Amanda Pitts, Kelli Pitts, Briona Morley, and Kylie Morley; bonus grandchildren, Bailey, Leo, Ricky, Chloe, Chaz, Samuel, and Charlotte; siblings, Jake Moody, Gilda Atterson (Check), John Moody (Pamela), Lonnie Moody (Wanda), and Selestia Light; sister-in-law, Martha Moody; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Family Life Center from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in sharing food, fellowship, and karaoke as they celebrate Fred's life and legacy. A memorial service in Tennessee will be announced at a later date.
