Harold Junior Byers

Harold "Papaw" Junior Byers, 86, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be remembered for his great sense of humor and the joy he brought to those around him. He loved his wife and children dearly and took great pride in his family.

Some of Harold's happiest times were spent riding around in his beloved 1969 Chevy with his grandchildren. He cherished the time he spent with them and was much more than a grandfather-he was like a father to them, always there with his love, guidance, and support. Harold also enjoyed working on cars with his good friend, Larry, sharing his knowledge and making memories along the way.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Byers; and his best friend, Danny Hicks.

Those left to cherish Papaw's memory are his grandchildren, Hunter Reynolds, Alicia (Jason) Hale, and Latasha (Terry Hilton) Robinson; his great-grandson, Easton Reynolds; his special stepdaughter, Patricia Collins; his special stepson and daughter-in-law, Terry Vermillion and Amy Carrico; his special friends, Larry Clark and Larry Frazier; as well as many other children, grandchildren, and friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Trinity Memorial Centers from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

The family welcomes anyone who would like to visit, to come to Patricia's house, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. for dinner.
