Herman Joseph Adams, age 60, of Blountville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on his birthday, April 9, 2026, at The Waters Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 9, 1966, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Herman later moved to Jenkinjones, West Virginia, where he graduated from Mount View High School in 1984. Over the years, he also lived in Statesville, North Carolina, before eventually settling in Blountville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Adams and Sonia Kereluk Adams.

Herman is survived by his brother, Craig (Cindy) Adams, and his sister, Katrina (Jamie) Wiles. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, including Savannah and Chelsea Williams; Michael Adams; Sonia and Tyler (Tresston) Reese; Noelle (John) Byland; Holly (Justin) Dallman; Brittney (Trace) Cannon; and Nick Wiles, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves behind a special friend, Connie.

Herman lived a largely independent life and found his greatest joy and sense of community in the world of video games. Whether conquering a difficult level, exploring expansive virtual worlds, or connecting with others online, gaming was not just a pastime but a true passion. Those who knew him best will remember him with a controller in hand and a focused, contented smile.

In accordance with Herman's wishes, no formal services will be held. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Kesterson in Greeneville, The Waters Nursing Home in Blountville, and Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
