Herman Gregory Morris

Herman Gregory Morris, 58, of Bristol, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

He was born on February 15th, 1967, in Culpepper, Virginia to the late Herman David Morris and Shirley Mae (Richards) Gallihugh. In addition to his parents, Herman was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Rosie Richards.

Herman enjoyed working outdoors, building fences, and helping others. He always had the greatest sense of humor, and even during his toughest battles he had a positive and outgoing attitude. He was full of extreme determination to live and provide for his family, whom he loved above all else.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vickie Morris; his children, Priscilla Morris and Vanessa Morris; step-children, Natasha Welshimer and Brian Dorton; his grandchildren, Breyonna, Elijah, Kylee, Courtney, Alex, Kaige, and Malaki; his siblings, Sandra Ankrom and Woody Gallihugh; as well as several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee, with Pastor Marshall Tipton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 PM at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

"God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me". With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, and although we love you dearly, Dad, we could not make you stay."
