Jack Allen Wheeler

Jack Allen Wheeler, 69, of Appalachia, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Allen was a proud coal miner for 15 years. He also was a preacher for over 20 years where he traveled mainly preaching at various churches around the region. Many people knew him and those that didnt he would strike up a conversation and quickly become a friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dempsey and Margaret Marie Wheeler; mother of his children, Mary Rebecca Wheeler. He is survived by his sons, Jack Allen Wheeler, Jr. and wife Shiela, Christopher Michael Wheeler; daughter, Lisa Skinner (John Bartley); grandchildren, Blake Carrol and wife Kayla, Savannah Wheeler, Tyler Carrol, Nevaeh Skinner, Ashlie Skinner; great grandchildren, Brantley Carrol, Cambrie and Isabella; several nieces and nephews; brother, Bobby Wheeler; sister, Helen Bowen and husband Jeff. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday September 12th at 2:00 p.m at Shades of Grace Church in Kingsport TN (313 East Sullivan Street).
