Jacklyn Mae Laird

Jacklyn Mae Ritchie, 71, of Kingsport TN was welcomed into heaven Saturday September 27th, 2025 where she passed peacefully in her home.

Jacklyn was born September 4, 1954, in Los Angeles, California. Proudly raised by Frank and Fay Ritchie, Jacklyn graduated from Cleveland High School in 1973.

Although deeply rooted in southern California, Jacklyn eventually found herself settling in Hood River Oregon with the love of her life, Crawford Laird, where they raised four children: Buddy Bullock, Andrea Cuddihee, Kristi Raplee, and Tammy Galloway.

Jacklyn was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Jacklyn enjoyed a successful career with United Telephone for many years. Recognized for her exceptional enthusiasm in sales and marketing, and her sharp, witty sense of humor.

After retirement, Jacklyn's love of children led her to Ingenium Charter School where she initially volunteered as a crossing guard. Known and loved by the children as Ms. Nan, she eventually joined the staff as the school librarian.

Jacklyn spent her final years enjoying the beauty of Tennessee with her longtime friends Dick and Cathy Leming.

Jacklyn is preceded in death by Crawford Laird, Frank Ritchie, and Fay Ritchie.

Jacklyn was loved and treasured by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
