James Michael McCulloch

James Michael McCulloch, 72, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026.

James was born in Japan and moved stateside in 1955. He was raised in New Jersey and West Palm Beach, Florida. James moved to Kingsport in 1979. He worked as a diesel mechanic until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Hideko McCulloch, and brother, Joseph McCulloch.

James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kim Collins McCulloch; daughters, Jody (Bruce) Wolfe and Jill McCulloch; grandchildren, Ethan Wolfe and Hanna (Alec) Smith; great-grandsons, Jesse Wolfe and Braxton Smith (TBA); and sisters, Margaret McCulloch and Catherine Hill.
