James Robert Roark

James Robert Roark, 59, of Gate City, VA, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. James served over 3 years in the Marines as a Gunnery Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his parents, B. Roark & Robert Roark; brother, Randy Roark; sister, Retta Hicks; and son, Brandon McCoy. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Meadows Roark; sons, Jesse and Colt; daughter, Callie; granddaughters, Merical, Mercy, Kinsly & Serenity; grandson, Lucas; Aunts, Linda Stevens, Dinah Holsclaw, Lee Carr & Kathryn Carr; nieces Jaclyn & Kathy Hicks, as well as several great nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held on May 25, 2021 at 3PM in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
