James Dean Sexton

James Dean Sexton, 63, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, May 30, 2026, at Holston Rehab.

He was born March 18, 1963, in Oneida, TN, to the late Talmon and Mary Sexton.

Jimmy was a beloved son, brother, and uncle who cared deeply for his family.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by brother Talmon Dwayne Sexton; and nephew Trevor Sexton.

Those left to cherish his memories are brothers Talmon David Sexton, and Jason (Lindsay) Sexton; nephews and nieces, Talmon Dwayne (Rachel) Sexton, Jacob (Nikki) Sexton, Lauren (Jason) Zink, Kenny Sexton, Corey Sexton, Tommy Sexton, Marcie Sexton, and Will Sexton; several great-nephews and nieces; Uncle Bobby Sexton; Aunts Beulah Hoffman and Cinda Jeffers; many cousins and friends.

The graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 5, 2026, at 1 pm at the Smithers-Moffitt Cemetery in Robbins, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The service road to the cemetery is located behind the Scott County Masonic Lodge #670, 410 Sims Road, Robbins, TN, 37852.

Flowers are welcome, but donations to St. Jude are encouraged.
