Jane Frances Crawford

"God is in his heavens and all is right with the world"

Jane was born May 26, 1942 in Chattanooga, TN to Viola Banks Costello and Paul Michael Costello. Jane grew up in a loving home and with many childhood friends. She moved to Johnson City, TN to attend Milligan College where she graduated in 1964. She married James Hewitt Crawford and had two children, Jeffrey Paul Crawford and Julie Dawn Crawford McMillan. She moved to Elizabethton, TN and claimed this as her home. Jane loved her children and her focus became being the most awesome Mom. She was also a loving grandmother to Hayden Paul and Hallie Elise McMillan.

Jane was a school teacher and spent many years teaching in Carter and Johnson Counties. She spent the second half of her career working as a house manager for Frontier Health. She loved the residents and staff and strove to make a residential group home a true home.

Jane was a lover of animals and was the mom to many during her life. In her last years she loved Samantha, Suzy and Sweetie with all of her heart. She loved helping others and animals.

Above all Jane was a Christian and loved God. She passed this love on to all she encountered in her life. She is leaving the world a better place. She will be missed so very much but we will be together again.
